Curtis Orvil Andrews

March 5, 1953 — June 7, 2024

West Haven

Curtis O. Andrews left to start the next chapter in his amazing existence on Friday, June 7, 2024, after fighting many health issues. He was born the fourth child of seven on March 5, 1953, to Douglas L. Andrews and Agnes LaVon Averett Andrews in Ogden, Utah. Curt grew up in Clearfield, Utah, attending Clearfield schools, and he received all sacrament through the Catholic church.

He joined the U.S. Army in 1972. He was a proud Veteran and was glad he was able to serve his country with honor.

He married Susan Jones, they were later divorced. He married Sandra Kay Ross, they were later divorced, but she remained his best friend to the very end.

Curt has three children: Jason, Casey, and Rachell. He also has six grandchildren; Levi, Adian, Mia, Lilly, Will and Trident. He was enormously proud of them all and loved them dearly.

Curt worked many high-risk jobs as was his nature, oil rigs, shipyards and jet mechanics.

He was always up for an adventure and a good time. He had a love for being outdoors and hunting, some of his favorite stories revolved around these activities. He loved to play golf with his brothers, sisters and friends. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson and went on many long trips with friends enjoying the country. The Chicago Bears and Cubs gave him hours of frustration and joy, he was a loyal fan. Curt enjoyed sitting around telling stories and shooting the bull.

Over the last few years, Curt’s health began to limit his daily activities. He moved into Peach Tree Assisted Living where he received generous care from the nurses and staff leading to valuable friendships. The family would like to thank them as well as the staff of Rocky Mountain Hospice for making his last few months comfortable.

Curt was preceded in death by his parents, sister, L. Sue Dayley and brother, Joseph Andrews.

He is survived by his children and grandchildren, also his brothers, Doug (Afton), William (Patty), Chuck (Caroline), sister, Bonnie (Jim) and sister-in-law, Marcie Andrews, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life to honor Curt will be held at Doug and Afton Andrew’s home (Curt’s Brother) 3663 South 2900 West, West Haven, Utah on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. with full military honors at 3:30 p.m.
