Curtis Scott Clark

1987 ~ 2018

Curtis Scott Clark, 30, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in his home in Layton, Utah

Curtis was born on December 4, 1987 in Anchorage, Alaska to loving parents, Kevin and Christina (Dodenbier) Clark. Curtis fell in love with hockey while living in Alaska. After their family move to Layton in 1997, Curtis continued playing hockey and coached young players—the Mini Mites—with his dad. For several years Curtis worked at the Ogden Ice Sheet and never lost his enthusiasm for being out on the ice.

Curtis was a gentle, patient, and caring son, brother, and uncle. He was happiest spending time with his family; he enjoyed watching movies with his siblings and was the perfect shopping buddy for his sisters. Curtis especially loved playing with his nephews and nieces. Children gravitated to his loving personality and often kept him busy playing with toys and putting together puzzles. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

Curtis enjoyed spending his time outdoors. He loved camping with his family in the mountains, wore his camouflage proudly, and could often be found reading a new book. Curtis was always the best helper in the kitchen—he loved to cook and was the designated meatball-roller when they cooked the family Dutch soup recipe.

Curtis is survived by his parents Kevin and Christina; brothers Derek, Michael (Janette), Cody, and David (Sarah); sisters Alesha and Stephanie. Curtis was proceeded in death by his grandpas Robert and Jack, uncles Ty and Don, and his beloved younger brother Jeffery.
