Curtis Jay Park
Curtis Jay Park of North Ogden, Utah, passed away at the age of 76 in his home on October 20, 2015 after battling mesothelioma. The son of Lowell James and Beth Lee Park, Curt was born and raised in Tooele, Utah. He graduated from Tooele High School in 1957 and attended Brigham Young University.
A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Curt served a Spanish-speaking mission in Mexico. He served in several church callings. He also served in the Utah Army National Guard 1457th Engineer Battalion and later worked as a computer programmer for the federal government. Curt retired from Hill Air Force Base, Utah
On January 24, 1969, Curt married his sweetheart Janice Billings in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They had 46 wonderful years together living in various places inside and outside the United States.
Curt had a great sense of humor and appreciated a good joke. He enjoyed taking trips with family and read all kinds of books.
Curt’s parents, Lowell James and Beth Lee Park; his stepfather, Carl Barney; and his only sibling, Dennis Park, preceded him in death. Curt’s youngest child, Heath Park, also preceded him in 2009. Curt is survived by his wife, Janice Billings Park; his three children and their spouses, Michael Park (Angel), Natalie Park Johnson (Landon), Chris Park (Elsie); and six grandchildren, all from the North Ogden area.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 East 2850 North, North Ogden.
