Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Harris
On August 13, 2017, after a long battle with breast cancer, Cynthia "Cindy" Ann Harris returned peacefully to her Heavenly Father, with her soulmate by her side.
Cindy was born August 14, 1964 in Ogden, Utah to Neldon "Jack" and Celia Harris.
Cindy spent her early years in Utah where she was either at the sand dunes or on the back of a horse. As she grew up her passions changed to raising her kids and riding her dream bike, a 2003 Springer Softail 100th Anniversary Edition Harley. Cindy loved spending time with her grandchildren and never missed a chance to take them to the zoo. In 2009, Cindy finally fulfilled her lifelong dream and moved to Alaska where panning for gold and fishing were her passions. In 2011, Cindy met and later married her wife, Dusty. In 2012, Cindy was diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Lobular Carcinoma. She fought a good fight but lost the battle the day before her 53rd birthday. She will forever be 52.
She is survived by her wife, Dusty Harris of North Pole, AK; children; Natasha "Tasha" (Jason) Artez of Orangeville, UT; Noall (Holly Goodnight) Draney of Spokane, WA; Nickolas "Nick" (Ryann Thompson) Crawley of Kaysville, UT; grandchildren Avarey, Ashanti, Ivee, Ethan, Izabella, EllyMarie and Dalton, parents Jack and Celia Harris of Morgan, UT; brothers; Brett (Raquel) Harris of Hooper, UT; Rod (Holly) Harris of Kaysville, UT.
Cindy will also be greatly missed by many friends and other family.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 North Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road.
The family would like to thank Fairbanks Cancer Center and Fairbanks Memorial Hospital Hospice Services for all their love and care during Cindy's battle. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the J. Michael Carroll Cancer Center. www.fairbankshospitalfoundation.com
