Dahlya Skye Freeman
On July 12th 2016, our darling Dahlya Skye made her unexpected entrance, into the world. Due to premature birth and a number of congenital defects, Dahlya was transferred via Life Flight to Primary Children's Hospital, were she spent the majority of her life. Our Jellybean was a very special girl, in every way. After seven major surgeries, beating multiple infections, including the potentially fatal NEC, battling heart and lung defects, and many other medical issues, she passed away unexpectedly on March 27th, 2017.
Anyone who met our Little Fighter found themselves instantly wrapped around her tiny fingers. Dahlya had a smile that could light not just a room but the whole world. Despite her struggles in life, she was always full of joy, beauty, happiness, laughter, smiles and most of all strength. We will forever be grateful to have known her for the time we were able to spend with her, even if it was cut far too short, and take comfort knowing she will no longer have to endure pain, is free of tubes, wires and alarms and is in the loving arms of those who passed on before her.
Dahlya is survived by her parents, grandmother, and great grandparents.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Primary Children's Hospital and Specialty Hospital of Utah for caring for her, and making it possible for her to be with us as long as she was.
Dahlya's light and laughter will live on in many, many hearts. We will always love you, little lady.
Please join us to celebrate her life, share memories, and reflect upon the many ways she touched all of us on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

My only Dahlya Skye,
She's my favorite Jellybean,
The apple of my eye."
