David Kaiser (Dave) was born in Ogden, Utah on May 10, 1945, to John and Marion Kaiser. He was the second child born in his family and eventually grew up with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He attended the local schools in his area and later graduated from Weber State College.
After High School he began working at the Defense Depot in Ogden and it was there he met his future wife, Kathy. After dating Kathy for almost 2 years, they both decided they should get married. A few days after Thanksgiving, on November 26, 1966, they followed through and got married. Dave immediately became a dad to Kathy’s two children, Karen and Kristine, and in the ensuing years, they added two more wonderful children to their family - Carol and Damon.
Dave loved his family and when he and Kathy became grandparents, Dave was truly the most awesome grandpa in the world. His grandchildren adored him, and he adored them. The grandchildren went on grand adventures with him and did things like yodeling at Pine View Dam (no one knew how to yodel), he always checked the kids ‘neck strings’ when he saw them and often got stuck in a ‘circle turn’ whenever they drove on a road that had a roundabout. His children and his grandchildren truly loved him. He and Kathy loved each other so much and Dave was Kathy’s soul mate.
Dave is survived by his wife, Kathy, their children Karen, Kristine and her husband Rick, Carol and her husband Geoff, Damon and his wife Angie, 12 of his 13 beloved grandchildren and 10 great super great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Jim Kaiser, and sisters Jean Kaiser and Marie Eggelston.
He was proceeded in death by his brother, John, his brother Robert, and his grandson Jason. Dave had a personality that was greater than life, his family loved and adored him, and they will miss him so very much.
