LAYTON - DALE OWEN CROCKETT passed away peacefully at McKay Dee Hospital Monday, April 18, 2011. He was born June 7, 1938 in Glenns Ferry, Idaho to Owen H. Crockett and Mamie L. Morgan. Raised in Layton, Utah he graduated from Davis High School in 1956 and then served 4 years in the U.S. Navy.

Dale was a long haul truck driver and retired from FedEx in 2006. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He married Patricia Faye Bonner July 11, 1980 and shared 28 years together. Pat passed away October 4, 2008.

Dale is survived by his twin brother Don H. Crockett, Layton, Utah, step-children: Rick (Janice) Green, Tom (Sandi) Green and Tricia Steed, children: Debbie, Carol and Danny, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and stepson Steven Green.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mt Ogden Health and Rehab Center and special thanks to Carey Anderson, also the physicians and staff at McKay Dee Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
