Dale Clifford Robertson

Dale Clifford Robertson, 88, died Friday, December 11, 2015 at his home in Clinton, Utah.

Dale was born to Gerrald Grant Robertson and Dorothy Harris on June 7, 1927 in Ogden Utah. He graduated from Ogden High School in 1945 and enlisted in the Navy as a combat air crewman. Following his honorable discharge he returned home to marry his high school sweetheart, Donna Jean Farr, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on October 30, 1946.

Dale worked as an electrician at Farr Electric for 13 years before he and his wife founded Robertson Electric in Ogden. He served as a member of the Ogden City Electrical Examining and Review Board, director of the Salt Lake City Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Assoc., Director of the Ogden Pineview Yacht Club, director of a local bank, and was an affiliate member of the Weber Basin Homebuilders Association.

In 1975, Dale and Donna became the sponsoring parents of a family of Chinese children seeking refuge in the United States and to this day these children, Elizabeth, Michael, Jessica, Holly, and Bobby, and their families, honor them as Mom and Dad.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother Wayne Gerrald Robertson, and his son Grant Dale Robertson. He is survived by Donna, his wife of 69 years; brothers, Glenn H. (Hazel) Robertson and Kenneth L. (Verla) Robertson; his three children, Brent F. (Elizabeth) Robertson, Connie (Ralph) Pugmire, and Penny (Gary) Kapp; 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. The family will meet with friends prior to the Graveside service from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
