Dale Thomas Sparkman

Dale Thomas Sparkman, 69, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 13, 2016.  He was the son of Belle “Kaye” Gould and Grover Sparkman, born on May 9, 1947 in Ogden, Utah.

Dale worked at Fresenius Medical Care, where he met the love of his life, Pamela Ewing.  They were married on June 7, 1986 and spent 30 wonderful years together.

Dale was an avid reader, usually completing a book a week. He loved mathematics, fishing, cooking and riding his motorcycle, but especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He served his country as a Marine in the Vietnam War. Dale's intellect, quick wit, and gift of conversation will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He was an incessant seeker of knowledge and truth – hopefully he finally found some answers.

Dale is survived by his wife, Pamela; children, Eric (Jeanine) Sparkman, Kelsey Sparkman, and Shantel (Tye) Pesnell; five grandchildren, and sisters, Denice Newman and De Ann Sparkman.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Gathering for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
