Dale Nance Tyree, age 72, passed away April 1 after a 6-year battle of (non-smoking) lung cancer. Dale was born February 1, 1950, in the hospital parking lot in Manassa, Colorado. Her parents were Wesley and Reta Jackson Nance.

Dale grew up in Kaysville, the 7^th of 11 children. A bit of a tomboy, she was always first to be picked on the baseball team. Dale met her husband, Robert, on a blind date set up by her co-worker and future mother-in-law. They were married on August 2, 1991, and she became stepmom to his two children, Joshua and Kelli.

Becoming a mom was always a dream of hers and after a difficult pregnancy, she gave birth to her son, Paul, in 1993. Her greatest joys were being a mother and grandmother.

Dale enjoyed camping in the Uinta’s and fishing at Trial Lake. She could often be found in search of the perfect pinecone to add her vast collection. She maintained her grace, poise and sense of humor throughout her long battle with cancer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Calton, James and John and sisters, Naomi and Barbara. She is survived by her husband, her children and grandchildren, brothers, Ken and Lafe, and sisters, Ruth, Yvonne and Gay, along with her niece, Amanda, with whom she had a special bond, and many other nieces and nephews.

Dale was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main St., Kaysville, Utah from 1 to1:45 p.m. with graveside services following at the Kaysville Cemetery.
