Dalhart Hughes
LAYTON – Dalhart Hughes, 80, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2008.
Born July 14, 1927, son of James Milton and Minnie Aslee Russell Hughes in Hollis, Oklahoma.
Dalhart served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He married Lois Lorraine Butterfield on June 1, 1946. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
He was an active devoted member of the LDS Church.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, camping and traveling.
Surviving are his son, Rickey (Sylvia), three daughters, Vickie (Lea) Miller, Layton; Sherry Hughes, Stepheson, WA; Paulette Hilliard, Reno, NV; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one brother, Jamie (Karen) Hughes, WA; and one sister, Janet (Leonard) Reed.
Preceded in death by his loving wife, and son James.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Chelsie Park 3rd Ward, 1312 N. 2525 W., Layton. Friends and family may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
