Dalton Gambit Milewski

06/12/1999 ~ 06/12/2021

Dalton Gambit Milewski was born in Layton, Utah to Richard Eric Milewski and Tina Louise Spinks Milewski on June 12, 1999.  He passed away June 12, 2021.

Dalton Married Maja Caley on August 19, 2017 in Layton Utah.  Maja was the love of Dalton’s life.  He told her many times a day “I’m only in love with you.”

Dalton came to his family as a bright and incredible miracle.  From the day he was born, he had the ability to cheer up the saddest of souls. He was the comedic relief for family, friends, and strangers. We always called him Dalfin and his mom called him Punky; he was her hero.

Dalton was so attentive to her needs.  Dalton was his brothers’, Dallas and Gator’s best friend.  We are all wondering who is going to mow our lawns now?  Maja was indeed the love of Dalton’s life.  He called her, his mom, and his puppy Athena his girls.

Dalton was and is an “Old Soul,” his choice of music and his wardrobe was clear proof.  There is nothing like the smile on his face when he attended a Ringo Starr concert and a Paul McCartney concert.  Dalton loved the Beatles, but he was particularly crazy about his Idol Mac DeMarco.  An amazing highlight in Dalton’s life was attending a music festival with Maja in Boise, Idaho.  Dalton and Maja were blessed with the opportunity to meet and hangout with Mac Demarco.

Dalton loved babies and babies loved him.  Anytime he knew someone was expecting a baby, he always suggested they name the baby Dalton; this always came with a promise to attend every birthday party or special event in the awaited child’s life.  He never did convince anyone to take him up on his offer.  We suspect it was because there was truly no one who could measure up to the amazing person he was and is.

Dalton will be honored and remembered by all who knew him by the countless pairs of shoes he owned.  He loves Van’s.  It was unacceptable for shoes to have dirt on them.  He insisted on cleaning them with a toothbrush.

Dalton suffered from intense depression, anxiety and OCD.  He wanted to be everything to everyone.  He lost his battle with this relentless condition.  He would want to know if his mustache is okay.  Rest easy “Punky,” your mustache is as beautiful as you are!

Dalton is survived by his wife Maja, his dad Richard, his mom Tina, his brothers Dallas (Kiara), Gator (Sarah), and Ricky.  He is also survived by his nephew Douglas and aunts; Christen Williams, Tonia Druce and Dorothy Milewski.  He leaves behind his cousins Kassidy and Andy ( Kenzo, Karzyn, and Kingsten), Ashton and Britney ( Robby, Taliah, Selena, and Alonzo), Tyson and Luz (Isaiah, Elijah, and Zane), Taelyr and Anthony (Sailyr) Dixie and George ( Meachaleigh, Aaleyah, Leylani, and Danny) and Parker.

He is preceded in death by his sisters (twins) Hannah and Halee, his Grandma Milewski and his Grandpa Spinks.
