Our loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, Damien Zwandile Ray Mleso, 14, went home to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 27, 2013. He was born on February 5, 1999 in Salt Lake City, the son of Evans and Sara Catherine Nord Mleso. He grew up in North Ogden and recently moved to Plain City where he attended Weber County Schools. He was a 9th grader at Wahlquist Jr. High.

Damien was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Damien was recently ordained a Teacher and was serving in the Teacher''s Quorum. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America.

He was a comedian that loved to make people laugh and feel better. Damien was very caring, loving and goofy. He was very innovative, a "wheeling-dealer". He wanted to be an entrepreneur. Damien loved football, basketball, lacrosse, snowboarding, playing acoustic guitar, piano, and singing. He loved to read and compose. Damien was a fan of Spiderman, the Utah Jazz, and the Seattle Seahawks.

Damien is survived by his parents, Evans and Sara; siblings, Courtney Lee Mleso, Chantay Nobukhosi Moyo, Kaila Leigh Mleso, Maiya Ntombana Mleso, Julian Roderick Mleso, and Sophia Irene Mleso; grandparents, Harry and Marilyn Nord, Laramie, WY; and Everson and Dorcas Mleso, Zimbabwe, Africa; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his uncles, Roderick Mleso and Monarch Tshuma.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Plain City Meadows Ward Chapel, 2280 North 3600 West. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Services entrusted to Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary.

Interment, Plain City Cemetery.
