Damon Andrew Schroader
LAYTON – Damon Schroader, age 37, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014. He was born March 29, 1976 in Ogden, Utah to Ronald Roy and Guilda Hope Whittaker Schroader.
He attended East Layton Elementary, Central Davis Jr. High, and Layton High and later studied Auto-Body Technology at DATC.
Damon was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served from 1997 to 1999 in the Mexico Leon Mission.
He married Candice Brown on April 13, 2001. They had three children, Addison, Ambria, and Asher. They later divorced. He married Kirsten Gumbrecht on July 7, 2007. They have two children, Jessica, and Jason.
He enjoyed auto mechanics, music, art, poetry, camping and snowboarding. He Loved his Family and Friends.
He is survived by his wife, Kirsten, his five children, his mother, seven siblings, Steve, Dan (Laurie), Mark, Darren, Deborah, Mitchell, Martin (Brigette) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, a sister Dianne, a brother Matt, a sister-in-law Jill (Steven) and nephew Scott (Dan).
He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
