OGDEN – Dan Fisher Kimose passed away on July 9, 2018 at his home peacefully surrounded by family.

Dan was born in Ogden on December 1, 1925 to Andrew S. Kimose and Foren Fisher, one of four children.  He grew up mostly in the Farr West area.

Dan graduated from Weber High School. On March 25, 1944 he joined the United States Navy, and served until May 25, 1946 in World War II.

After his time in the Navy, he really enjoyed traveling cross country on his Harley. He was a member of the Elks and the Eagles. He enjoyed dancing, hunting, fishing, traveling and attending the horse races at the Wyoming Downs and working on the Kimose Ranch.  He also enjoyed going to Wendover with his family and friends.

Dan is survived by his daughters, Tamra (Jeff) Sederholm; Cheri Lynn (James) Hudson; and Ronalee Barker, six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother James (Betty) Kimose; sisters Gwen Torman; and Dyann (Gary) Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Foren Kimose.

The family would like to thank the staff at Brighton Hospice for their love and care.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to George E. Wahlan Veterans Home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m.at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. where military honors will be accorded.
