Dan Reed Weber, age 60, loving son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. He was born June 20, 1962, in Ogden, Utah to Edgar Weber and Veralie May Hender Weber.
Dan attended Monte Vista School in Layton for several years. As a member of the Clearfield 3rd (now 17th) Ward, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Dan faithfully passed the sacrament every Sunday bringing his wonderful spirit to the congregation each week. This he did along with his job at Pioneer Adult Rehabilitation Center (PARC) in Clearfield, Utah, where he worked for over 30 years, until retired in August 2022 due to health.
Over the years, Dan loved to perform in plays organized through Special Needs Mutual and perhaps his favorite part was when he could emulate playing the guitar. He was an avid Utah Jazz fan and loved to spend time with family. Dan’s Christ-like love was infectious. To know him was to love him.
He will be greatly missed but is now joyfully reunited with his parents (Ed and Veralie), a brother (Richard) and two sisters (Linda and Joyce) who predeceased him. Dan is survived by two brothers, David (Jean) Weber and Steven (Carol) Weber, three sisters Carol (Joseph) Bebel, Debra Weber, and Bonnie (Peter) Kranenburg and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the caregivers of Chrysalis Group Home and the CNS Hospice Group who took such good care of Dan during the final chapter of his mortal life.
Funeral services will be held Monday April 24, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary 1867 No. Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
