Dana Lee Tueller Perkins Mikesell, 67, beloved wife, mother, and grandma, passed away peacefully and returned to her heavenly home Sunday, July 13, 2008 at her home in Clearfield, Utah.

She was born May 26, 1941 in Logan, Utah the daughter of Daniel Wilcox Perkins and Shirlie "B" Tueller.

She was raised in Smithfield, Utah graduating from North Cache High school in Richmond, Utah in 1959. She attended St. Benedicts Nursing School in Ogden, Utah for three years graduating in 1962 as a Registered Nurse. She had affiliations with Pediatrics in Denver, Colorado and Psychiatric Nursing in Hastings, Nebraska.

She married Don Rheal Mikesell February 23, 1962 in the Logan LDS Temple. Dana Lee spent her whole life helping others as she practiced nursing part time for 30 years while raising her family. She specialized in medical surgical, orthopedics, and pediatrics. She was the first Home Health Nurse of Franklin County, Idaho in the Public Health Department under Shirley Larson. She worked at St. Benedicts Dee Convalescent in Ogden, Cottonwood Hospital, Primary Children''s Hospital, Preston Hospital, Logan Hospital, and Madison Hospital Rexburg, Idaho retiring in 1992.

She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings in music, Relief Society, and in the Cub Scouts. She served 17 years in scouting and completed Wood Badge. She received the District Merit Award in the Franklin District, and served as Cub Scout Commisssioner. She was a member of the K''Anns (Kiwanis), Art Guild and Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She also taught various 4-H classes and piano.

She and her husband served a mission to Singapore as Medical and Leadership Missionaries in Singapore, Pakistan, and Sibu East Malaysia for 18 months. They also served as Family History Missionaries in Ashton Stake for nine months when Don passed away March 16, 1999. She then was called to serve at the Family History Library in Salt Lake and assisted the deaf with genealogy.

She loved her family and the support and love they gave in whatever she wanted to do. Her main desire was to be positive and she found joy in all she did. Dana Lee spent a lot of time doing genealogy and family history.

She was preceded in death by her husband Don, her mother and father, and her sister, Georgene Perkins. She is survived by her children, Tim and (Marianne) Mikesell, Chris and (Teresa) Mikesell, Wendy and (Brett) Skinner, Cheri and (Brian) Beachler, and Shirlee and (Chris) Dickson, and 20 grandchildren. Mother-in-law Grace Corbridge, her sisters, Sherlauna Griffeth, Monie Price, Flossie Bowman, Tami Bennett, Juanita, her brothers, James Perkins, Tom Perkins, Brett Perkins, and Tony Perkins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 18, 2008 at 9 a.m. at the Syracuse Sandridge Ward, 1000 W. 2700 So. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Friday from 8 to 8:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Island Park, Idaho, Friday at 4 p.m.
