Daniel Lee Beers

Daniel Lee Beers, 55, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Davis Hospital.

He was born November 29, 1953 in Deadwood, South Dakota to Robert George and Georgia Ellen Dandrow Beers. He graduated from Clearfield High school in 1972.

Dan served in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1975 in Darmstadt, Germany.

He married Ingeborg Lausmann Richins on December 20, 1975 and they were later divorced. On March 19, 2005, Dan married Laura Ann Zigahn in Roy Utah.

Dan was employed at Hill Air Force Base as a systems analyst.

He was a member of the AFGE Local 1592 and Roy Eagles Aerie No. 3355. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and riding ATV''s. He participated in Junior League bowling. Then he served as league bowling secretary for many years. He also served as Roy City commissioner in youth football.

Dan is survived by his wife, Laura; one son, Tim James (Jessica) Beers; a daughter, Tania Ann (Toby) Maestas, all of Roy; four grandchildren, Kylee, Brayden, Dakota, Makayla; his mother, Georgia; and two brothers, David George Beers and Tracy Alan Beers.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, Robert, an infant brother, and a nephew, Cody Beers.

Family and friends may call Tuesday, May 12th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
