Daniel Alexander Bouy
January 23, 2004 ~ August 23, 2019
Daniel Alexander Bouy was born on January 23, 2004 to Christie Anna Grey Bouy and David Bennett Bouy at the McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. He passed from this mortal existence into the arms of his Heavenly Father on Friday, August 23, 2019 in Syracuse, Utah where he had resided for the past eight years with his mother and his sister Hannah Evadne Bouy.
Daniel had just begun his sophomore year at Syracuse High where he looked forward to continuing his musical education and embarking on a new adventure in learning how to work with automobiles. Daniel was a talented musician who played the tuba, trombone, trumpet, piano, ukulele, guitar (both acoustic and electric) and had dabbled with the intricacies of the harmonica. He was especially proud of his time playing in the Syracuse Junior High jazz band. He was also gifted in his ability to compose music and surprised his mother this past Mother’s Day with a song written especially for her.
Daniel was a kind and giving soul who selflessly offered his time and talents to serve others in his church callings, his scouting activities and to his neighbors and friends. He loved skateboarding with his friends and spent many hours honing his skills at the various nearby skate parks. He delighted in buying new parts for his favorite board, installing them and then putting them to the test.
Daniel was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served as a teachers quorum president in the Syracuse 4th Ward. He was nearing completion of his Eagle Scout requirements and had recently worked on his Eagle project by operating booths to give others an opportunity to register as organ donors, something that was dear to his heart. Daniel’s legacy of giving continued in his passing as his donations will provide others with needed gifts to continue their earthly sojourns.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Christie Anna Grey Bouy, and his sister Hannah Evadne Bouy, both of Syracuse, Utah; his father, David Bennett Bouy, and his brother Ryan Ruben Bouy both of Ridgefield, New Jersey; his Papa and Nana Wil and Sue Grey of Syracuse; his grandparents Glen and Dorothy Bouy of Layton; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
