Our beloved Daniel Carter Nealey passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021.
His wonderful birth parents from Puerto Rico and Morocco, brought him into the world, March 4, 2002. Daniel was lovingly adopted by his parents Julie Allen and Jerry Nealey in Tampa, Florida.
Daniel was the sweetest and most kind young man. He was like a brother to his friends and cousins. He made a huge impact on those around him. He enjoyed making people laugh. He loved spending time with his cousins.
Daniel taught us all about sensory issues, epilepsy, ADHD, and overcoming huge obstacles.
He attended Valley View Elementary, Sandridge Junior High, and Roy High School. When he was younger he played soccer, loved playing video games and drawing. In middle school he was in the band, playing the drums and guitar. Recently, he enjoyed learning how to work with horses and desired to give others riding lessons. Daniel was enthusiastic and energetic in all he did.
He is survived by his mother, Julie Allen and step-father Roger Allen, his father, Jerry Nealey and step-mom Michelle Nealey, and seven step-brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the Roy 12th Ward Chapel, 4524 South 2525 West. Daniel would want other youth to benefit from the company Harness Your Power. They made a significant impact on building his confidence and helping him heal from trauma. To donate in lieu of flowers, here is a link, https://gofund.me/e2f079c6. Money will go to building an indoor arena named after Daniel, for Harness Your Power, so they can offer more workshops indoors during cold weather.
