Our dear son, brother, and friend, DJ Valdiviezo, 20, passed away on March 1, 2013. DJ was born to Karianne Carpio Beus and Rick Valdiviezo on March 29, 1992. He graduated from Clearfield High School in 2010 and completed his Composite Materials Technology certificate in November, 2012.

DJ loved to work on his beloved BMW, snowboard and BMX bike. DJ was born with a great and kind soul, always helping others especially his cherished mom and grandmother. DJ had a heart of gold, an infectious smile and laugh that would warm everyone''s heart.

Bear, I will miss your awesome hugs. Love, Mom.

DJ is survived by his loving parents, his adoring grandmother Emma Carpio, who took loving care of him as a little boy; Diane Gil and Ramon Valdiviezo; his two loving sisters, Ashtin and Sydnee Beus. He is also survived by many friends, family and his beloved pets, Gage and Murphy.

DJ is preceded in death and was blessed to have his bonus Dad in life, Travis Beus. He is also preceded in death by his grandpa Ralph Carpio, great-grandmother Mary Garcia, and much-loved dog Barkley.

DJ is loved and will be missed by many but he will always be remembered for his original and unique personality, style and presence. We know his sweet caring heart will be looking upon us from heaven.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. Family will meet with friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the mortuary.

Interment, Clinton City Cemetery.
