Danny Neil Hamblin

September 13, 1944 ~ January 27, 2015

Danny Neil Hamblin, our beloved husband, dad, and grandfather passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the age of 70, after losing a battle with cancer.

On December 10, 1963, Danny married Shirley L. Christensen in Clearfield, Utah.

He worked at Smith’s Warehouse in Layton for 27 years; he retired in May 2012.

Danny’s favorite past times were hunting and camping and spending time with family and friends. When he was not in the mountains, he enjoyed going to Wendover.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Shirley Hamblin, and their two children, Cindy (Phillip) Stoddard and Mischelle (Danny) Ansley; two grandchildren, Haley and Jadon Ansley, who meant the world to him. Also surviving are two brothers, Larry (Marcia) Hamblin, Randy (Barbara) Hamblin, and his nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Danny will be loved, missed, and remembered by his family and friends.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Encompass Hospice Care for the loving care they provided.

Family and friends may come and visit at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2015.
