Dareld Adam Smith passed away peacefully at home on October 24, 2023.
Dareld was born in Slaterville, Utah on May 12, 1929 to Adam James and Madeline Estell Smith. He was the sixth of seven children. His twin brother Gerald was born an hour after of him. He graduated from Ogden High School and joined the United States Army. He served two years in Japan as a small arms instructor before being medically discharged.
After he returned home, he began teaching dance lessons at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio. He met his dance partner for life, Cleo Mae Smith, and was married on June 25, 1954. They had two adorable daughters, Debbie and Diane.
He always maintained a great sense of humor, always looking for a 95 year old lady to sit by him and hold his hand. And now he is reunited with his wife who happens to be 95 years old.
Dareld is survived by his daughters, three amazing grandchildren, Heather (David) Peebler, Mindy (Jeremy) Kovatch, and Adam (Lindsay) McCarty, five awesome great grandchildren, DJ (Bre) Peebler, twins Madison and Jaxon Peebler, Lars Kovatch, Archer McCarty and one fabulous great-great-grandson, Ryker Peebler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cleo; parents, Adam and Madeline; brothers, Alden and Gerald; and sisters, Fern, Melba, Dorothy and Betty.
