Our beloved Darice passed away November 18, 2012 at her home in Ogden, Utah as the result of a massive stroke.

She was born in Munich, Germany June 7, 1959, the daughter of F. Blair and Myrna Zaugg Wilcox.

She graduated from Layton High School in 1977. She married Bruce Meredith in 1979, from that union she was blessed with her son Christopher, who was the joy and the light of her life. Bruce and Darice were later divorced. Darice''s life was blessed when she met the love of her life, Walter Richards. We as Darice''s family are ever grateful for his loving care.

She became a nurse''s aide and enjoyed working at several care centers with the elderly. She loved her patients like family. She made friends and was loved everywhere she went.

She was a wonderful grandmother and cherished every minute she spent with her precious grandchildren.

She is survived by her sweetheart of 22 years, Walt, her son, Christopher Meredith (Therese), three step-children, Laurie, Shannon and Brian, 12 grandchildren, her mother, Myrna Wilcox, two brothers, Michael (Stephanie) and Steven (Aleya) Wilcox, six sisters, Carin Drysdale (Steve), Shareen Saunders (Bob), Anita Robins (Kelly), Diana Clarke (Layne), Natalie Harris (Ryan), and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
