Darlene Genetti

Darlene Wall Genetti, 87, formerly of Layton, passed away April 8, 2017, at Sage Grove Assisted Living in Alliance Home Health and Hospice.

Darlene was born July 22, 1929, in Layton, Utah, to Irie Charles Wall and Cora Zespa Wall.  Darlene and her identical twin sister, Arlene, grew up and attended schools in Layton and graduated from Davis High School.

On February 23, 1951, she married Guy Dominic Genetti in Layton, Utah.  To this union were born two children, Michael and Nancy.  Darlene and Guy made their home in West Haven, Utah, where  Darlene was homemaker.  Guy passed away on April 30, 1977.

Darlene married DeWayne H. Sperry in Layton, Utah.  They lived in West Haven where DeWayne worked at Hill Air Force Base.  They were later divorced.

She had a love for travel.  She enjoyed trips to Hawaii and Disneyland with her sisters, as well as fishing trips to Alaska.  She also enjoyed making quilts, embroidery, and square dancing.

Darlene is survived by her son, Michael (Amy) Genetti of Rigby, ID; daughter, Nancy (Scott) Sexton Bachman of Pueblo, Co; sisters, Olive (John) Weston of Salt Lake City, UT; Anne Farnsworth of Lava Hot Springs, ID; Fonda (Del) Beck) of Clinton, UT; brother, Larry (Terri) Wall of Layton, UT; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Guy Genetti; sisters, Arlene Bell and Joan Garcia.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, Layton, UT.
