Darlene Hess
LAYTON – Darlene Hess, an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all she met and knew passed away to her Mountain of Peace early Thursday morning July 5, 2007.
She is survived by her husband Chuck Hess, her brother Darrell Spain, her children Lance, Derek and Kris, 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents Orville and Lucille Spain.
She will be greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
Darlene was born January 1, 1943 and raised in Montazuma, Iowa, where she graduated at Montazuma High School.
She enjoyed life well and deserved it well.
Darlene and Chuck Hess became as one July 20, 1985. Chuck bringing her everything she needed to enjoy life to the fullest, so they did.
Darlene was a travel agent with Morris Murdock for years and overall 31 years where she accomplished the travels that she had always wanted to do, enriching her life as well as ours.
She was the most avid Jazz fan I knew, keeping her filled with spunk and hope.
She loved to take pictures with the best of them and did them well, of birds and other animals that she fed around her haven in the mountains.
She loved all and was loved by all.
She passed away, where she wanted to be most, the high Uintah mountains, with birds, deer an everything it stands for – Peace and Freedom.
She can now rest in peace, comfort and tranquility – May her love be with us all in our hearts forever.
Memorial services will beheld Monday, July 9, 2007 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
