Darold David Fielding, Sr.
Darold David Fielding, Sr., 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2013 of natural causes in Ogden. He was born on December 5, 1927 to David Albert and Myrtle Elaine Anderson Fielding in Shelley, ID.
He served honorably in the US Navy during WWII from December 1945 to December 1948.
Darold married the love of his life, Verla Darlene Webster on January 21, 1950 in Elko, NV.
He retired as Chief Clerk from Union Pacific RR in 1989 after more than 30 years of service.
Survived by his wife of 63 years, Verla Darlene Fielding, Ogden; daughter, Jacqueline (Donald) Newey, Green River, WY; son, David (Julia) Fielding, Roy; daughter, Michelle Gould, Ogden; 12 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bill, Bob and Larry; sister, Joyce; and his daughter, Vickie Lovato.
The family would like to thank Dr. Crawford, Jeri, Kathy, Robin and the ICU Staff at Ogden Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd., where military honors will be accorded by Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the care of Verla Fielding at Abundant Life Home Health and Hospice, 710 40th St., South Ogden, UT 84403.
