Darrel Dean Fuchs

Our loving Husband, Son, Father, Brother, and Grandfather, and friend, Darrel Dean Fuchs passed away unexpectedly on July 2, 2012.

Darrel was born on January 3, 1952 in Laurens, Iowa, to James and Betty Chambers Fuchs. He graduated from Baxter High School. He was the second of seven children. Darrel married his first white Joanne Baldwin and lost her shortly after on August 11, 1974. Darrel then met and married the love of his life Diana Lynn Kriegel on July 14, 1990. He became a father to Nicholas, Jamie, Ashley, and Megan. They resided in Tucson Arizona and then he also became a father to Trevor D Fuchs.

He moved his family to Ogden, Utah later in 1991. Darrel then became a member of the LDS faith. On October 15, 1996 Darrel adopted Nicholas, Jamie, Ashley, and Megan and they were officially a "Forever Family". Darrel was the epitome of a perfect Husband, Father, Grandfather, and provider. He loved the outdoors, and the thing he loved to do the most was take his wife, children, and grandchildren to East Canyon Resort to hunt, go four-wheeling, and enjoy being in the wilderness. He loved spending time and hunting with his best friends Dave Esplin and Betty Davis. He drove semi for most of his adult life. He started working for Advanced Drainage Systems in March of 1998, while working there he made many lifelong friends whom he loved. In April of 2008 he received an award for being driver of the year. Darrel believed his greatest accomplishment was making his wife and children''s dreams come true and he did everything in his power to do so. Becoming a grandfather was what brought him the most joy; nothing could make him smile more than looking into the beautiful eyes of his many grandchildren.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Diana Lynn Fuchs; children: Justin, Jason, Nicholas, Jamie (Rickey Jr.) Pace, Ashley (Eugene) Haymes, Megan, and Trevor Fuchs; grandchildren: Kobe, Kylee, and Kali Hamilton, Beckym Christensen, Preslie Pace, and Desmond A Fuchs; mother, Betty Fuchs; siblings: Mary (Gerald) Maxwell, Lois (Denny) Bucklin, Randy (Teresa) Fuchs, Jane (Mike) Hanson, William (Jodi) Fuchs, and Eugene Fuchs; mother and father-in-law Marlin and Dorothy Smith; and brother and sisters-in-law: Gloria Lawless, Patty and Stanley Allspach, Marsha Osborn, Sandy and Dave Querrey, Don and Lynn Kriegel, and Tom and Michelle Kriegel along with many nieces and nephews.

His father James R Fuchs preceded him in death, as well as his grandparents, William and Alice Fuchs and Elmer and Amanda Taylor, and his nephew Christopher Hansen.

Darrel will be missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He had lots of close family and friends and anyone lucky enough to be a part of his life knew he would be there in camouflage, with love, friendship, fun, and anything anyone needed.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd., North Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
