Darrel Wayne Guthrie

Darrel Wayne Guthrie passed peacefully away Wednesday, September 14, 2021.  He leaves behind an Eternal Companion, Pat, his beloved sister Arlene, three devoted sons and a classroom of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was honored to serve his Country during the Korean War.

His lifelong passion was to learn, teach and coach. Achieving a PHD from Brigham Young University and eventually teaching there.  The world is full of his High School students and College Students and who all adore him. His numerous Football teams will especially celebrate his contributions to their lives.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 20, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.  Friends may visit with family Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary prior to the service.

Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
