Darrell Eugene Cash

Darrell Eugene Cash, 73, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Heritage Park Care Center of complications from multiple sclerosis.

He was born February 22, 1938 in Smithfield, Utah, a son of Joseph Waite and Ethel Fullmer Cash. He attended schools in Weber County and graduated from Weber High School. Darrell married his eternal companion, Gayle Hill, on November 11, 1960 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they fought the disease for almost 50 years. Darrell worked for IRS and Ogden City until he medically retired in 1979.

He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Gayle, of Roy; their children, Randy (Gay) Cash, Jodi (Bryan) Willie, Ryan (Staci) Cash, all of West Haven; 11 grandchildren, Heather, Danni (Jaque) Poll, Brandon, Jordan, Mackenzie, Brittni, Ty, Maci, Bayli, Triniti and Ryson. He is also survived by three brothers, Joseph Goodwin Cash, Owen L. (Marie) Cash and William L. (Ila) Cash, a sister-in-law, Louise Cash and brother-in-law, Joseph (Gayle) Sears, Jr.

His parents, one sister, Irene Cash Sears and brother, N. Wayman Cash, preceded him in death.

He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. "I love you Honey."

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the entire staff of Heritage Park Care Center in Roy for the loving care of Darrell. They became like family. Also, much gratitude to Inspiration Hospice for their incredible support and for being with us at the end.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 27th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

The family will meet with friends and loved ones at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
