BOUNTIFUL & OGDEN – Darrell R. Neilson, age 91, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Emeritus Estates.  He was born on July 7, 1923 to Raymond and Mable Neilson.

Darrell married Irene Johnson on June 23, 1951.  They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 23, 1978.  He graduated from Ogden High School and Weber State College.  He was in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Darrell is survived by his son, Michael Neilson of Salt Lake City and sister, Norene Parker of St. George.

He was preceded in death by his wife Irene, son Bruce, sister Ella Hemmert, and his brothers Alfred Dalton and Harvey Dalton.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Bountiful Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, 1640 Lakeview Dr.  Service entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E.
