1938-2014

Darryl T. Garrett, 75, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014 in Clearfield, Utah.

He was born October 9, 1938 in Brawley, California the son of Johnie Paul and Anna Nadine Clancy Garrett. Married Gwendalyn Cowgill (deceased); Ellen Lee (deceased), later married Edith Randall on November 1, 1980 in Reno, Nevada and sealed in the Portland, Oregon Temple April 12, 2008.

Darryl worked as a purchasing manager for Colonial Building Supply in Centerville, Utah.   He was a creative perfectionist in everything he did. He loved working with wood, remodeling, refinishing furniture, etc.  He enjoyed reading, bowling and gardening.  His son would tell him that a weed wouldn’t dare grow in his garden!

He is survived by his wife Edith; sister LeaAnne Colvin; children Gary (Valarie), Tess, Jan (Randy), Tom (Barbara), Stacey (Allen); step-children Debi, Wes (Kris), Paul; 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Paul Garrett.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 25, 2014 at Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 S. 200 W.  Friends may visit family Fri. from 9:30-10:30 am at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E.  prior to graveside services.
