Daryle Leslie Garfield
NORTH OGDEN- Daryle Leslie Garfield, 80, of North Ogden died Saturday, May 14, 2011 from natural causes.
He was born July 27, 1930 to Leslie and Deloris Garfield in Tremonton, Utah.
On June 12, 1953 Daryle married Alma Rae in the Logan LDS Temple. They were married for 57 years.
He attended schools in Tremonton, Utah and the University of Utah where he graduated with a degree in Pharmacy. He worked as a Pharmaceutical Representative for Abbott Laboratories for 35 years. He loved his work and was respected by associates for his honesty and integrity.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in many callings. He served a mission to the Northern California Mission.
He enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping and four-wheeling with his family and friends. Daryle also loved spending time at their home in St. George.
He is survived by his wife, Alma and six children; Greg (Cindy) Garfield, Kaysville; Vicki (Robb) Harbertson, Farmington; Janette (Ryan) Shaw, Farr West; Shauna (Glen) Hancock, Cedar Park TX; Ryan (Jodi) Garfield, Pleasant View; Michele (Wayne) Higgs, Riverdale; 28 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and his sister, Mary Christensen of Tremonton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Jared Garfield.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Ben Lomond Stake Center, 950 E. 2850 N., North Ogden.
Family will meet with friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 Washington Blvd. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Stake Center.
The family would like to thank the staff at McKay-Dee Hospital and LaDawn Cox for their tender care.
