Dauna Lucille Grant Tanner

Dauna Lucille Grant Tanner, 89, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 13, 1924 in Roosevelt, Utah to Ellery Gilson and Elizabeth Ann Myler Grant.

On October 28, 1942, Dauna married Arthur McLaughlin Tanner in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death January 24, 2005.

She was an active and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as a visiting teacher and taught in several organizations. She also served in the Ogden Temple and five other temples as a missionary.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and oil painting.

Dauna is survived by seven children, Grant David Tanner, Loy Myron Tanner, RavAC.e Tanner Mullins, Heidi Ann Hopper, Cynthia Brandvold, Dawn Marie Williams, and Dalena Falkner, 40 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Glen M. Grant, and one sister, Betty Jean Curtis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, two daughters, Aleta Jean Morrison, Cassie Madsen, and two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four brothers and one sister.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 29th at 12 noon at the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street, Provo.

The family will meet with friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 9 to 10 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
