David Scott Andersen, age 59, passed away Wednesday November 9, 2011 from esophageal cancer.

He was born March 10, 1952, a son of Karl Ephraim and Randi Syversen Andersen. He worked as a mechanic at Ken Garff Mercedes for 16 years and Delta Airlines for 21 years. He could often be found with dirty hands, bringing an old forgotten vehicle back to life. Dave was well known in the community and was always willing to give someone a hand. He loved any activity involving toys with engines. His favorites included boating, the sand dunes and jeeping. Trips to Moab always meant Dave was bringing up the rear, making sure that no one was left behind.

He is loved and missed by his wife, Bonnie; children Erin (Jed) Dewsnup and Rondi (Marshall) Maughan; grandchildren Kate and Paige Dewsnup.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the David Andersen Memorial Fund at American First Credit Union.

A brief service will be held at 11:00 am. Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may visit from 9:00 to 11:00 prior to the services.
