David Steven Barnett

October 19, 1952 — February 21, 2024

David Steven Barnett, 72, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away February 21, 2024. He was born October 19, 1952, to Woodrow and Margret Barnett. David was a valued member of the LDS community and served a mission in northern California. He attended Weber State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Business Administration. He further pursued a Master of Business Administration at Arizona State University.

 

David was a well-known contractor who enjoyed working and building everywhere he lived. He moved to multiple states, leaving his mark with his expertise in construction. David loved to run equipment and shared that experience with his children and friends.

 

In life, David had a need for speed. Whether it was riding motorcycles or driving fast cars on the racetrack, he loved to test his limits. He always owned fast cars, either Corvettes or Mustangs, and shared this passion with those around him. David also enjoyed traveling and camping with his family and teaching his children how to shoot guns and build fires.

 

David is survived by his brother Dale, sister, Sheryn Barnett Burton, his children, Nathen, Woodrow, Stephanie, Ashton and Heather, along with 11 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Brent and Gene.

 

Graveside services will be held Saturday April 13, 2024 at Noon at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
