David Knight Galloway

April 27, 1953 ~ July 12, 2021

David Knight Galloway, beloved brother and loyal friend, suddenly passed from this mortal sphere into heavenly realms Monday evening the 12th of July, 2021. Born April 27, 1953 to Ernest and Evelyn Galloway, who preceded him in death. He shared his spirit of service and loyalty with family throughout his life.  In spite of personal struggles David endured throughout his life, he remained positive and a powerful influence for good in the world. Honest to a fault and full of integrity, nothing but high praise and admiration is spoken about him from all who knew him including the staff and patrons of the Mt. View Health Services facility where he spent the last four years of his life.

David loved and served his family without hesitation, making himself available when asked. David is remembered as an excellent example of goodness and charity. He will be missed by friends and family for his quick summations of circumstances and events of others which became known as “David-isms.” These nuggets of wisdom he freely volunteered at just the needed moment. Having a wide variety of interests, he pursued studies in Art, electronics, calculus, bookkeeping and piano music.

David helped run his father’s Gas Station business at the tender age of 7 years old. Responsibilities included pumping gas, checking oil and washing windows. Instilled at an early age, was a habit to make good use of his time and never to be found idle. As a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints, he served countless hours in the Temple.

David is survived by his siblings, Sheron Phillips, Grant Wilson, Gloria Widerburg, Lyle Wilson, Richard Wilson, Neil Galloway, Glen Galloway, Anna Carol Galloway, Linda Kirby, and Bonnie Jessie.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
