David Ray Kite

1947 ~ 2018

Our hero, David, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 after a valiant battle with leukemia.  He was born August 21, 1947 in Provo, Utah to LaVerne and Florence Kite.

On September 21, 1968, he married the love of his life, LaRae Needham. They were sealed in the Manti LDS Temple on May 17, 1980.

David retired from Hill Air Force Base in October 2003 after 30 years with the federal government.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and going to Disneyland with his family.

David is survived by his wife, LaRae, children, Cherelle (Mike) Waite, Natalie Randall, Kristina Earle, Matthew (Brandon) Kite, 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, his mother, four brothers, two sisters and many other loved ones. He was preceded in death by his father, step-father, Fred Hill and son-in-law, Robert Earle.

The family would like to thank Legacy Hospice for their kind service and his son, Matt for his constant and loving care.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Syracuse City Cemetery, 1250 South 1000 West.
