David Morrell LeRoy
1934 ~ 2018
David Morrell LeRoy, passed away December 28, 2018 at the George Wahlen Veterans Home in Ogden, Utah. He was born August 14, 1934 to Daniel Vester LeRoy and Margaret Louise Morrell LeRoy in Logan, Utah.
He graduated from Granite High School in South Salt Lake. He joined the U.S. Army near the end of the Korean War and served in Japan in the medical supply facility. He received an honorable release in 1956. He married Colleen Colton on September 19, 1975 while living in Layton, Utah.
David worked for 35 years at Hill Air Force Base in the instrument repair filed. He was a volunteer for many years as a youth soccer coach and also a volunteer at Autumn Glow and Lincoln Elementary Schools. He loved working with the youth. As A youth, he enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family at Strawberry Reservoir.
David is survived by his wife, Colleen, and a daughter, Spring (Ray) Terry and a grandson, Duane Terry of DeBoria, MT; three siblings, Michael LeRoy (Celia) of Arizona, Judtih Ipsen (Frank) of Willard and James LeRoy (Cathe) of Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Margaret Warenski (Bill) and a brother Robert LeRoy.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Layton Park Ward Chapel, 789 E. Wasatch Dr., Layton, Utah.
