David Antonio Nabor

David Antonio Nabor passed away peacefully, December 27, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Like his brothers before him, he fought a courageous battle against cancer.

Dave was born November 24, 1940 to George and Mary Nabor in Grand Junction, Colorado.  At a young age they moved to Layton, Utah, where he spent his life raising his family and leaving his legacy.

He married the true love of his life, Lynda Sue Nesbit on February 6, 1976.  He adored her and they spent 40 glorious, happy, and fun filled years together. Dave fathered three children: Dave (Margie) Nabor, DeeDee (Mario) Martinez, and Tony Nabor.  But he was also ‘Dad’ to Pam Lobato, Tamra Nabor, Bobbi Stanfield and Todd (Nanette) Taylor.  He was a special Papa and Gramps to 18 grandkids and 15 great-grandkids.  He loved his kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews, and had a special bond with each of them.

Dave served our country as a US Marine and retired from the National Guard. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served a service mission at the Salt Lake Temple until his illness.  He was an avid golfer and loved spending his days on the course with his ‘Darlin.’

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his four older brothers, Andy (Patsy), Pete (Diane), Ernie (Hope) and Jimmie (Barbara).  He is survived by his wife, his children and his two younger brothers, Gino (Suzie) and Lorry (Cathy).

Rest in Peace ‘Cowboy’, till we meet again.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am.
