David Stewart

David Robert Stewart passed away Sunday, November the 24th, from natural causes. We are all in shock as we try to comprehend how someone larger than life could be gone so quickly.

David "Stew" was born March the 23rd, 1967 in Ogden, Utah to Robert Earl and Yvonne Gilbertson Stewart. He was a bright eyed little boy who was curious about everything and he was the light of his family''s eyes. He loved nothing more than bacon and eggs with his grandma and grandpa Stew on the weekends.

As a boy, Dave moved with his family to Omaha, Nebraska where he excelled at baseball while at Ralston High School. He also excelled at getting into mischief and gave his parents more than one gray hair over the years.

Once the family moved back to Utah, Dave worked in many different restaurants and bars in the area including Tony Roma''s, Applebees, Iggy''s, The Puck, and The Green Pig and he made many friends at each stop along his path. At the time of his passing he was employed by Valley Shuttle.

David was blessed with two children, Mason (18) and Mckayla (16) Stewart. Dave''s children were the absolute loves of his life, and brought him his greatest happiness.

Dave had a huge heart and wanted to do anything he could to help others. With his passing, his generosity continues through organ donation. We take comfort knowing his last deed was one of kindness.

We all have so many good memories we''re happy to hold close in our hearts, but our lives will never be the same with his passing. We''re happy to know that today he once again is having bacon and eggs with Grandma and Grandpa Stew.

Dave is survived by his mother and father of South Weber, sister Jennefer Robison (Joel) of Farmington, brother Chris Stewart (Elena) of Kaysville, his children Mason Stewart and McKayla Stewart of Littleton, CO, a large, loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews too numerous to mention, as well as countless friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

The family would like to thank those at the Smith''s in West Valley for being with him at the end when we could not. The family also wants to thank his friends at Valley Shuttle, as well as the staff at Pioneer Valley Hospital and the West Valley Police Department for their help and compassion during this difficult time.

The family asks all who read this to seek a preventative health care screening so we can all share in each other''s lives as long as possible.

We''ll miss you Dave. We look forward to seeing you again for breakfast on the river...and don''t forget the ketchup.
