David Ray Roderick

David Ray Roderick 75, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 in his home, surrounded by loved ones.
He spent most of his youth in Bountiful Utah. He graduated from Bountiful High School and served a full-time LDS mission to the New England States. When he returned, he attended Utah State University and later Weber State College, where he met his sweetheart Gaylene.
David and Gaylene were married on September 6, 1968 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They enjoyed 50 years of marriage and had three children.
He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling and flying his model airplanes. Most important to David was the time he spent with his family.
David retired from the Davis County School District.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout his life.
David is survived by his wife Gaylene, three children, Jeff Roderick (Sheryl), Michelle Tesch (Gordon), and Jodi Pace (Brad). David will be fondly remembered by his eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents Jed and Dorthie Roderick and his brother Scott Roderick.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Ann, Maryann and Brian of hospice who provided kind, gentle care of David in his last days.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Clinton 10th Ward Chapel, 702 W. 1300 N. The family will meet with guests at a viewing prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.at the church.
Interment, Clinton City Cemetery.
