David Louis “Grandpa Doo-Doo” Ryan, 67, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at his home. He was born November 3, 1950 to Gloria and Edward Ryan in San Francisco, California. He attended Bonneville High School and then worked for Ogden City Police Department.

He married Margaret Hodson in 1970, and together they had five children. They later divorced, but remained friends.

Dave was a loving brother, father, grandfather, and friend. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for his family. Dave loved his children and grandchildren, and he spent most of his time attending their sporting events and school activities as their biggest fan.

Dave is survived by his children, Colby Ryan, Casey Baur, Cari (Cade) Stevenson, Cortney (Brandi) Ryan, and Porsche (Nate) Bartholomew; his grandchildren, Jaden, Shelby (Gonzalo), Weston, Carson, Maddison, Kiera, Colby, Bosten, Ryker, and Journey; and great-grandchild Nico; as well as his brother, Mark (Natalie) Ryan; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by his mother, father, daughter Calley Ryan, and grandson Jaxton Ryan.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.
