(Smitty) David Lee Smith Sr.

CLEARFIELD a€" David Lee Smith Sr. (Smitty), 58, passed away Monday, December 17, 2007 at his home.

He was born on January 21, 1949 in Ogden, Utah the son of Barney Smith and Ruth Opheikens Crouch. Smitty married Arlene Martin on March 11, 1967 in Elko, Nevada.

He was employed at Robert W. Speir''s Plumbing.

Smitty was a member of the LDS Church.

He liked models, fishing, hunting, camping and snow sledding down public streets. He loved to be with his family on vacations.

Surviving are his wife Arlene Martin Smith, son David Lee (Amy) Smith Jr., Clearfield; daughters, Tanya(Geoffrey) Smith Hamer, Clearfield; Sonya (Jeffery) Smith Dodgen, Ogden; Sabrina (Chad) Smith Garner, West Point; eight special grandchildren, three special great-grandchildren, his mother Ruth Opheikens Crouch, Layton; sisters Connie (Dennis) Helms, TX; Linda (Steve) Draper, AZ; and brother Randy Smith, Ogden;

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
