SYRACUSE – Dawnyel Daley Steck, 37, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 27, 2008.
Born February 4, 1971 in Provo, UT a daughter of Gordon Lamont and Kathleen Wall Daley.
Dawnyel graduated from Layton High School in 1988 and attended Weber State University on a debate scholarship where she excelled as a colligate debater placing second in the nationals.
She married Kurt Steck in 1998.
She worked for Profit Recovery Group (PRG) as a regional sales manager and is currently employed at Qwest as a business account manager.
She loved gardening; cooking, cake decorating and she delighted in her role as mother and loved her children with all her heart. She willingly shared the fruits of her labors be it from her garden, a cake or even vacations for those she loved.
She is survived by her husband Kurt, son Paul Gordon and daughter Kathleen Iris, mother and father, Gordon and Kathleen Daley, brother, Shawn (Sandi) Daley and sister, Denise Daley.
Dawn is preceded in death by her brother Shane Gordon Daley, grandmother, Dolores Leona Wilcock Wall and grandfather, Ned William Daley.
She will be missed everyday by those who loved and shared her life.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Santaquin Cemetery at 3 p.m.
