Daymon W Zismer, Jr.
Daymon W Zismer, Jr beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away on April 24, 2014.
He was born January 20, 1932 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was raised in Monroe, Louisiana by his parents, Daymon W Zismer, Sr. and Minnie Marie Sneed Zismer.
Dave married Helen Wells on September 14, 1953. She preceded him in death in 1986. He later married Phyllis June Clegg on September 19, 1986, they enjoyed 27 happy years together.
Dave joined the Navy and proudly served during the Korean conflict. He was a proud member of the VFW.
He was proud of his American Indian heritage, Cherokee and Souix. He enjoyed bag pipes, traveling, cruises, and square dancing.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; children, Daymon W. Zismer, III (Mary), Sandy; Danuel Owen Zismer (Tracy), North Salt Lake; Darren Alan Zismer (Maia), Clinton; and Jennifer Lynn Crossley (Cody), Tooele; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Wanda Johns, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Dave is also survived by his step-children Daniel Phister (Gaylene), Riverton; Alan Phister (Deanna), West Haven; Lori Park (Kevin), Independence, Kentucky; Sharon Poulton, St. George; Diane Singleton, Bountiful; Tammy Grandstaff (Todd), West Haven; Julie Guerrero (George), South Jordan; 27 step-grandchildren and 31 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marie.
A graveside service will be held on Monday April 28 th at 11 a.m. at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
