Deacon Manuel Robert Gallegos

Manuel Robert Gallegos, 58, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. He was born on March 26, 1955 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Frank Robert Gallegos and Ramona Trueba. He grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School.

He married Kathy Martinez; they had two children and later divorced. He married Lorraine Lucero; they had three children and later divorced. He married Alicia Ramirez in Ogden, Utah on December 31, 2007.

Manuel was a faithful member of the Lighthouse Ministries Christian Center and was ordained as a Deacon in 2010.

He was a machine operator throughout his life.

Mr. G. donated his time and energy in helping with the homeless and inner city children. He enjoyed fishing, music and dancing. He had a passion for football and loved watching his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys.

Manuel is survived by his wife, Alicia; sons, Nick (Chanel), Thomas (Marivel), Dugan (Elizabeth), and Armando Romero; daughters, Penny (Marc) Hughes, Renee Gallegos, Angelic Martinez, and Mercedes Contreras; 25 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances Hernandez, Lucinda Perez, Anna Romero, and Vicky Gallegos. He was a father figure to many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Frank Jr.; and two nephews, Robert McCoy and Robert Chacon Lucero.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
