Dean Kay Hadlock 1943 a" 2012
Dean Kay Hadlock, 69, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 after a long battle with diabetes and heart disease.
He was born February 19, 1943 in the old Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, to Dennis Gilbert Hadlock and Alma S. Stokes.
Dean grew up on a mini farm in Sunset, Utah. The family moved to South Ogden in 1960. Dean went on a work mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Saskatchewan, Canada with his twin brother, Dion. He was honorably discharged from the U. S. Army, where he served from 1966 to 1969 during the Vietnam War.
His favorite hobby and pastime was to study Geography and dream about world travel. He also loved arts and crafts. He and his twin brother Dion were great friends and they loved to travel together on excursions and outings.
Dean worked as a civilian for the Department of Defense in Ogden, Utah from 1971 to 1978. He worked for the Davis County School District from 1980 to 1985. He had a great sense of humor and a friendly nature.
Dean is survived by his mother Alma S. Smith, age 90, and six siblings, Brent D. Hadlock (Connie), Dion Jay Hadlock (twin), Karen LaNae Seaman (John), Stephen Lee Hadlock, Ann Marsha Horan (Jeff) and Christine Jenne (Stan).
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Friday, August 10, 2012 at Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 S. 200 W. Friends may visit family from 12:30 a" 1:30 pm at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N 400 E. prior to graveside services.
