Deanna Choules McMullin

June 3, 1937 ~ June 9, 2016

Deanna Choules McMullin, 79, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born on June 3, 1937 to George and Ruby Hardy Choules in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

She attended South High in Salt Lake City and BYU where she met her husband, Larry Keith McMullin. Together they raised three sons. Deanna cherished life and enjoyed helping others.

She was always positive and cheerful and embodied her mother’s advice to “Be Happy” even in her Alzheimer’s years. She loved to fish, camp, play games, spend time with her grandchildren, and listen to her favorite singer Elvis Presley. She was her husband’s domestic goddess and he was her devoted “sweetheart” and “honey”.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various capacities, but favorite was that as a missionary with her husband in the Colorado Denver North Mission.

Deanna is survived by her husband, Larry; sons, Kay Lynn, Terry Scott (Tina), and George Keith (Crystalynn); 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and sister, Kay Edman. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Denise; parents, and her Favorite Singer, Elvis Presley.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
