Deborah Lynn Porter
Debbie Porter passed away peacefully in her sleep September 2, 2012 at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield, Utah. She was born in Burien WA to Harry K. and Frances E. Porter and was their first child. She moved at age 1 to Rapid City, SD then to Ogden, UT about a year later. She spent her younger years in Sunset, Utah and graduated from Clearfield HS and Stevens Henagar College.
She was a member of the LDS Church. Debbie led a quiet unassuming life fraught with many illnesses that were finally too much for her. She had many pets that provided her contentment, especially her cat "Tonka". Debbie cared for her mother during her terminal years. She worked many jobs in telecommunications, help desks and family homecare. She made many friends along the way. Debbie we will miss you.
Debbie is survived by her father and stepmother, Harry and Perline; brothers, Kevin Alan Porter and Edward Dean (Christy) Porter; sister, Christine Porter and nephew, Mario Porter; stepbrothers, Don Mattson, Brandon (Natalie) Mattson, Forrest Hicks and stepsisters, April Hicks and Kari (Fhilemon) Martinez.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Inurnment at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park will be held at a later date.
